WhitsonLaw is seeking an accomplished executive leader to serve as its Chief Operating Officer. This is an executive leadership opportunity for someone who understands that exceptional legal work depends upon exceptional operational infrastructure.
At WhitsonLaw, we believe the client experience begins long before the first court appearance and continues long after the final order is entered. Every operational decision we make is intended to support exceptional legal representation, meaningful client relationships, and a workplace where talented professionals can perform at their highest level while being supported in their personal and professional well-being.
Working in close partnership with the Managing Partner, the COO will lead the continued development of the Firm's people, systems, financial discipline, accountability, and organizational structure to create a business that is increasingly scalable, profitable, and less dependent upon any one individual.
The successful candidate will be equally comfortable translating strategy into execution, developing leaders, interpreting financial performance, implementing KPI-driven accountability, refining business processes, coaching managers, improving profitability, and building the operational clarity necessary for sustainable growth.
If your greatest professional satisfaction comes from building organizations that become stronger every year because of the systems you create, we would welcome the opportunity to meet you.
Compensation: $110,000 - $175,000 annually, commensurate with experience, plus performance-based incentive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package

Lead organizational design, role clarity, workforce planning, recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and employee development in partnership with the Firm’s HR professionals.
Develop and implement meaningful KPIs, executive dashboards, and reporting systems that provide leadership with timely visibility into financial performance, work production, sales, marketing, client service, and organizational health.
Ensure that the Firm’s policies, procedures, workflows, and business standards are documented, organized, implemented, and periodically reviewed for effectiveness and compliance.
Oversee financial administration in partnership with the Managing Partner, CFO, and accounting professionals, including budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, billing and collections visibility, financial controls, and resource allocation.
Strengthen coordination among legal production, intake, sales, marketing, client service, finance, administration, and executive leadership so that information and responsibility move effectively across the Firm.
Build systems that support a consistent and exceptional client experience from initial contact through the conclusion of the engagement.
Oversee the Firm’s technology and digital infrastructure, ensuring that systems are reliable, secure, appropriately integrated, and capable of supporting a fully remote workforce.
Manage major projects and organizational initiatives through clear objectives, accountable process owners, realistic timelines, and disciplined implementation.
Conduct ongoing assessments of financial, employment, technology, vendor, compliance, and business-continuity risks and coordinate appropriate mitigation.
Foster a professional culture grounded in accountability, collaboration, sound judgment, high standards, and continuous improvement.
