Our growing company is seeking friendly and empathetic healthcare professionals with a passion for helping others in a direct-care role as a certified nursing assistant. As the primary caregiver, you will assist patients with varied levels of mobility with getting dressed, going to the restroom, changing bedpans, eating daily meals, and other activities of daily living. You’ll also record patient vitals and note any changes in behavior, complaints, and symptoms to the registered nurse.   • Sanitize and clean patient’s room by rotating sheets, bedpans, and performing general room cleaning
  • Attend to the basic care and daily living needs of patients including going to the restroom, bathing, eating daily meals, taking proper medication dosages, and getting dressed
  • Relay important data or changes of patient status to charge nurse or general physician and other facility staff as needed
  • Provide carefully documented patient information in charts for multiple vital signs including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and blood oxygen level
  • Assist patients with regular exercise as needed to maintain physical health and mobility level
  • Possession of a high school diploma or the equivalent (for example, GED) is required
  • Completed the state-approved CNA training program and received CNA certification from a medical facility, vocational school, or community college
  • Needs strong physical stamina to reposition and lift patients from beds to examination tables or wheelchairs and move medical equipment
  • Previous experience handling bedridden patients with age-related diseases such as Alzheimer's and Dementia preferred
  • Exceptional communication skills in working with patients and families to maintain positive relationships

39,500
