This is an in-person position, 32 hrs/wk.
Mondays & Wednesdays: 10:30 am to 7:00 pm
Fridays: 9:30 am to 6:00 pm
Thursdays: 10:00 am to 6:30 pm
We’re looking for a reliable medical assistant to work directly with our healthcare staff and help us provide first-class care to our patients. You’ll greet people when they come in, schedule appointments, take vital signs, collect test samples using finger-stick blood spot test kits, and administer cold laser therapy sessions, all while building excellent rapport with our patients. Coordinate daily administrative tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations, fostering a welcoming environment for patients.
Manage patient scheduling efficiently to ensure timely appointments and seamless patient flow.
Maintain organized patient records to ensure confidentiality and easy access for our healthcare team. Upload documents and radiology imaging into our EHR program.
Assist in patient communication, providing clear and compassionate responses to inquiries and concerns through phone, email, and text.
Support our chiropractic team by preparing necessary documentation and materials for patient visits.
Monitor office supplies and equipment, ensuring they are stocked and functioning to support optimal service delivery.
Work directly with the doctor on special projects.
Exceptional written communication skills are also essential.
Proficiency in MS Office applications—Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams—is required.
You should be able to identify, assess, and implement office protocols and procedures to enhance workflow efficiency, foster a team-oriented environment, and ensure patient satisfaction.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills are necessary.
You need to be flexible, able to prioritize tasks, multitask effectively, and follow through to completion in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivation and a keen attention to detail are crucial.
The capability to take direction from your manager while effectively interacting and communicating with colleagues and business associates is important.
You must be able to handle confidential information appropriately.
A primary desire to help others and the ability to interact professionally with populations of all ages.
- High school diploma or GED
- Must have completed an accredited medical assisting program and a supervised externship in a healthcare setting
- Passed Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) exam to obtain certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or other certifying agency
- Strong communication skills and customer service skills
- At least 1 year of previous experience as a medical assistant performing administrative duties or similar role in a healthcare work environment
Compensation
$22 - $24 hourly
