Our busy home health agency is rapidly growing, and we’re seeking an experienced home health aide to assist us in providing superior in-home health care to clients. Our ideal candidate will have excellent organization and communication skills, and 1-3 years of experience working as an HHA or caregiver.

You’ll assist our patients with companionship, basic medical care, light housekeeping duties, personal care, and hygiene tasks so that they are empowered to live happily at home.   • Administer Medications: Dispense medications as directed by the Registered Nurse (RN), maintaining an annual error rate of no more than one mistake.
  • Resident Response: Attend to resident call lights within 10 minutes to ensure responsive and attentive care.
  • Light Housekeeping: Perform regular light housekeeping in resident rooms at least once weekly to promote a clean and comfortable living space.
  • Service Charting: Accurately document all services provided without missing tasks, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Assistance with ADLs: Support residents in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) according to each individual’s Client Service Plan, with a zero-tolerance policy for missed tasks.
  • Maintain psychological and emotional support for patients and family members - provide quality companionship
  • Complete basic medical tasks such as taking vital signs, measuring glucose and ketone levels, replacing bandages and dressings, and ensuring the proper use of medical devices
  • Stay on top of light housekeeping tasks including but not limited to laundry, bed making, vacuuming, etc.
  • Implement care plans as directed by the case manager, and keep updated and accurate care records
  • Assist patients in completing personal hygiene tasks like bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, shaving, etc.

Some skills expected-

  • Ability to lift 35 pds

  • Assist with resident ADLs as directed by the client service plan

  • Administration of medication as directed by an RN

  • Answer client call lights

  • Housekeeping in residents' rooms as scheduled

  • Charting of all services performed

  • Some college preferred, but a high school diploma or GED is required
  • Conclusion of home health aide training programs from community colleges are acceptable - Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) is a bonus
  • Over one year of experience as a personal caregiver, HHA/ home health aide, personal care aid, or nursing assistant for a home health agency, at patient homes, or care facilities settings is vital
  • Compassionate, kind, and empathetic personality is essential, with superb organization and communications skills

Compensation

$16 - $18 hourly
