Associate Child & Family Therapist (AMFT, ASW, APCC)

We are seeking motivated Associate Therapists who are eager to build strong clinical skills, receive exceptional supervision, and become part of a collaborative team dedicated to excellence in child and family mental health.
About the Position
As an Associate Therapist, you will:
- Provide evidence-based therapy to children, caregivers, and families, including Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)
- Work in fully furnished, purpose-built PCIT treatment rooms equipped to support high-quality clinical care
- Receive ongoing mentorship and opportunities for advanced training from experienced supervisors
- Have the opportunity to pursue PCIT certification under the supervision of a dually Certified PCIT Therapist, Within Agency Trainer, and Regional Trainer-in-Training
- Collaborate with a highly supportive multidisciplinary team committed to clinical excellence
This is an in-person, clinic-based position located in Ventura, California.

- Full-time, hourly (non-exempt) position

Compensation
- $50/hour for direct clinical services
- $22/hour for administrative responsibilities
- Performance and compensation reviews beginning after six months, based on performance and clinic needs
Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Provide individual, dyadic, and family psychotherapy services to children and their caregivers in an outpatient clinic setting using evidence-based treatment approaches.
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, establish DSM-5-TR diagnoses, formulate clinical case conceptualizations, and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Deliver Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and other evidence-based interventions appropriate to each family's clinical needs (training provided as appropriate).
- Collaborate effectively with supervisors, fellow clinicians, schools, physicians, and other community providers to coordinate high-quality care.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and clinically sound documentation that meets legal, ethical, payer, and clinic standards.
- Participate actively in clinical supervision, consultation, trainings, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development.
- Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and strong ethical decision-making in all aspects of clinical practice.
- Contribute to a collaborative, supportive team culture by communicating respectfully, seeking consultation when needed, and providing thoughtful support to colleagues.
- Bring curiosity, humility, openness to feedback, and a commitment to lifelong learning as you develop your clinical expertise.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Active California BBS Associate registration as an AMFT, ASW, or APCC is required.
- Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Clinical Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related behavioral health field.
- Experience providing psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and families is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethical practice and adherence to California BBS regulations and professional standards.
- Strong clinical writing skills, including diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, and timely clinical documentation, or a willingness to develop these competencies through supervision.
- Interest in evidence-based practices, particularly child and family interventions and early childhood mental health.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Openness to supervision, clinical consultation, and ongoing professional development.
- Ability and willingness to work on-site in our Ventura clinic.
- Bilingual Spanish/English proficiency is highly desirable.
Compensation
$22 - $50/hour

Our work with children includes strengthening the parent/caregiver-child relationships, anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and family conflict. We specialize in Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and serve as a training site for PCIT.
