About KEW Legal
KEW Legal is a woman-owned real estate and business law firm serving investors and growing businesses as their trusted legal partner. Our team is known for creative solutions, white-glove client service, and a seamless experience that helps clients navigate complex real estate and business matters with clarity and confidence. We build long-term relationships, and we treat every client like family.
We are growing, and we are hiring a dedicated Business Development Specialist.
The Role
This is a sales role. You are responsible for bringing new business through the door and closing it.
You will build relationships with realtors, investors, and business owners. You will run the first conversation with those prospects, help them understand what the firm does, and guide them to the decision to hire us.
You will take full ownership of the leads you generate, guiding prospective clients through every stage of the business development process—from initial contact and needs assessment to a signed engagement agreement—while maintaining ongoing relationships to foster trust, client satisfaction, repeat business, and referrals.
Important: You are selling the firm, not practicing law. You will work from the firm's consultation script and approved fee schedule. You will not give legal advice, analyze a prospect's legal situation, or quote outside the schedule. Any question that calls for legal judgment goes to an attorney. We will train you on the script and the practice areas.
This is an individual contributor role. You will not manage staff, run our ad campaigns, or oversee vendors. Your job is relationships and revenue.
Base salary of $50,000.00 plus commission tied to the new business you bring in. This is a results-driven role, and your earning potential is directly tied to the deals you close.
What You'll Do
Run discovery calls and initial consultations using the firm's consultation script, and ask for the business
Convert qualified prospects into signed engagements, quoting only from the firm's approved fee schedule
Build and maintain a referral network of realtors, investors, and business owners
Identify and pursue new referral partnerships, and keep existing partners active and engaged
Represent the firm at networking events, industry functions, and community engagements
Manage a pipeline that consistently produces new matters, and follow up relentlessly
Log every client and referral-source interaction in the firm's CRM daily
Report on pipeline, activity, and closed business to the Owner
Strengthen existing client relationships to drive repeat work and identify additional services the firm can provide
Support the firm's marketing efforts with content ideas, event presence, and market feedback
Who You Are
This role is a fit if these describe you:
You are upbeat, warm, and genuinely enjoy meeting new people
You love to network, and you are not afraid to start the conversation
You are professional and polished - you represent the firm well in any room
You are a hunter; you create opportunities instead of waiting for them
You are confident and persuasive, and you are comfortable asking for the business
You are relentless with follow-up, and you don't let deals die in the pipeline
You are organized, and you manage your pipeline carefully
You take ownership of your results
You are drama-free, solutions-driven, and steady under pressure
You can juggle multiple opportunities at once without dropping any of them
You can follow a script and a process precisely, and you know where your lane ends
Required
Proven sales experience with a track record of closing, ideally in professional or legal services

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to attend occasional evening events
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field
An established Miami-area network of referral sources - realtors, investors, attorneys, and business owners
Familiarity with real estate transactions or business law services
