We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day financial transactions of our organization. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, reconciling bank accounts, assisting with payroll, and preparing annual 1099 filings. The ideal candidate is highly organized, trustworthy, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality.
Record daily financial transactions and maintain the general ledger.
Process accounts payable, including coding invoices and issuing payments.
Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing customers and monitoring collections.
Reconcile bank, credit card, and other balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports for management.
Assist with payroll preparation and payroll reconciliations.
Maintain vendor records, collect W-9 forms, and assist with preparation of IRS Forms 1099.
Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting activities.
Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation.
Assist with audits by preparing requested financial documentation.
Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting regulations.
Perform administrative and accounting support duties as assigned.
2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar systems.
Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
Experience preparing vendor W-9s and filing IRS Forms 1099 preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and time management skills.
Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.
Experience working in a small business or multi-entity environment.
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Compensation
$55,000-$65,000 annually depending on experience
