You build the case. Immigrant families get to build the life they want.

You enjoy turning complicated immigration histories, scattered documents, and unanswered questions into organized, well-supported cases. You take pride in catching what others miss and getting work ready for attorney review—not just checking boxes on a task list.

We're looking for an experienced immigration paralegal who can own substantive case preparation, guide Legal Assistants, and keep cases moving without an attorney directing every step.

Behind each immigration case is someone trying to keep a family together, find security, or move forward with their life. The quality of your preparation can make a meaningful difference.

Why join us?

  • Do substantive work. Prepare declarations, develop case facts, organize evidence, and assemble filings instead of spending your days on routine administration.

  • Have real ownership. You'll be trusted to anticipate next steps, spot problems, and move cases forward within attorney-approved strategies.

  • Be part of a team. Attorneys provide legal strategy and judgment. Legal Assistants support production. You bring the pieces together and help everyone do their best work.

  • Make the system better. We welcome your observations and ideas for improving processes, quality, and client experience.

  • Work remotely. Work from anywhere in the United States while collaborating with our California-based legal team.

  • Build attorney-ready cases. Prepare USCIS petitions and applications, declarations, evidence, cover letters, chronologies, and complete filing packages.

  • Keep cases progressing. Own next steps, document requests, deadlines, notices, and routine client communication from onboarding through key milestones.

  • Lead case preparation. Delegate appropriate work to Legal Assistants, review it for completeness and accuracy, and resolve preventable issues before attorney review.

  • Spot issues early. Identify inconsistent facts, missing evidence, prior immigration history, and other red flags. Bring attorneys relevant facts and focused questions.

  • Improve quality. Help strengthen templates, checklists, and handoffs so the team produces reliable work consistently.

  • Support our immigration practice. Work on family petitions, adjustment of status, waivers, consular processing, naturalization, VAWA, U and T visas, SIJS, and related USCIS matters. Removal-defense support may be assigned based on experience.

Required

  • Substantive experience preparing US immigration matters under attorney supervision, with the ability to independently manage day-to-day case production within an approved legal strategy.

  • Strong drafting skills, knowledge of USCIS forms and evidence requirements, and excellent attention to detail.

  • Experience reviewing or directing Legal Assistant work and communicating effectively with clients.

  • Ability to take initiative, manage multiple matters, investigate inconsistencies, and follow through without constant supervision.

  • Ability to work full-time during our Pacific Time business hours and meet applicable paralegal qualifications.

Preferred

  • Professional fluency in English and Spanish.

  • Experience with family-based and humanitarian immigration matters, waivers, or Docketwise.

  • Experience improving legal workflows, templates, checklists, or quality-control procedures.

Compensation

$70,000 - $85,000 yearly
