Bilingual Front Office Coordinator — Leadership Track
English/Spanish
Birmingham, Alabama | Full-Time | Monday–Friday | In Office
Compensation: $22–$26/hour, based on experience and demonstrated qualifications
Be the Person Who Makes the Office Better
At Solano Law Firm, we help immigrants build better futures.
For many of the clients, the person at our front office is one of the first people they meet during an incredibly important time in their lives. We want that experience to be warm, professional, organized, and exceptional.
But we’re looking for more than someone who can answer phones and greet clients.
We’re looking for someone who takes ownership.
Someone who notices what needs to be done before being asked. Someone who communicates clearly, follows through, solves problems, pays attention to the details, and takes pride in making an office run exceptionally well.
If you're looking for a traditional receptionist position where you simply complete assigned tasks, this probably isn't the right opportunity.
If you're someone who naturally thinks, “What else can I do to make this better?” — keep reading.
A Front Office Role With a Leadership Path
This position is designed for someone who wants to grow.
You will begin by mastering the responsibilities of our Front Office Coordinator position and demonstrating exceptional performance in the fundamentals: client service, communication, organization, reliability, attention to detail, follow-through, and ownership.
From there, high performers may earn the opportunity to grow into a Front Office Lead role with increased operational responsibility and compensation.
Leadership here isn't automatically given because of a title or length of employment.
It is earned through consistent performance, good judgment, initiative, accountability, and the ability to make the people and processes around you better.
We're looking for someone who is excited by that challenge.
What Leadership Potential Looks Like Here
We're specifically looking for someone who may eventually be capable of taking greater ownership of our Birmingham office.
As you demonstrate consistent excellence in the Front Office Coordinator position, opportunities for increased responsibility may include:
Serving as a trusted on-site point person for Birmingham office operations
Helping maintain front-office standards and procedures
Identifying recurring problems and recommending solutions
Ensuring office-related responsibilities are completed accurately and on time
Helping improve front-office processes and client experience
Supporting the onboarding and training of future front-office team members
Helping reinforce procedures and operational expectations
Coordinating office projects, vendors, supplies, and facility needs
Helping leadership identify issues that require attention
Taking greater ownership of the organization, professionalism, and readiness of the Birmingham office
Helping create consistency between our Birmingham office and firm-wide operational standards
Progression into a Front Office Lead position is not automatic or guaranteed. It is an opportunity earned through demonstrated performance, reliability, judgment, leadership behaviors, and business need.
You Might Be Our Person If...
People describe you as dependable, organized, proactive, polished, resourceful, and calm under pressure.
You don't like leaving loose ends.
When you say you'll handle something, people don't have to keep checking whether it got done.
You notice details other people miss.
If something doesn't make sense, you ask questions.
If you make a mistake, you own it, correct it, and learn from it.
You understand that great communication isn't just sending a message — it's making sure the loop is closed.
You can follow a procedure consistently while also recognizing when something needs leadership's attention.
You genuinely enjoy helping people.
And when the office gets busy, you don't become overwhelmed or wait for someone else to solve the problem. You prioritize, communicate, and figure out the next best step.
We'd Especially Like to Meet You If...
You have experience as an:
Office Coordinator
Front Office Coordinator
Lead Receptionist
Administrative Coordinator
Patient Coordinator
Medical or Dental Office Coordinator
Banking or Client Services Professional

We're much more interested in finding someone with exceptional attitude, judgment, communication, ownership, and the desire to grow.

We don't believe every candidate should automatically start at the same rate. Compensation within the range will reflect the experience, skills, professional maturity, and level of responsibility you are prepared to take on when joining the firm.
This position also offers the opportunity for increased responsibility and compensation for employees who demonstrate the performance and leadership capabilities required to progress into a Front Office Lead role.
