Join our team at the Sheraton Baltimore North as a Coffee Barista. This is a full-time position. The barista prepares and serves high-quality hot and cold beverages, such as espresso, tea, and specialty drinks. They handle customer orders, maintain a clean, sanitary, and well-stocked workspace, and ensure the continuous, proper operation of coffee equipment.

• Beverage Preparation: Skillfully operate espresso machines, grinders, and brewers. Consistently craft and pour drinks to exact company recipes, including frothing milk and mastering latte art.
• Customer Service: Welcome customers, take orders, make recommendations, and handle special dietary requests. Answer menu questions and explain coffee origins or roast profiles.
• Transactions: Operate Point of Sale (POS) systems, handle cash, and process card payments accurately.
• Sanitation & Maintenance: Routinely clean and sanitize espresso machines, counters, grinders, and milk frothers. Maintain cleanliness in the seating areas and adhere to strict food safety guidelines.
• Inventory & Stocking: Receive and unpack supply deliveries. Monitor stock levels for coffee beans, syrups, milk, and pastries, ensuring workstations stay stocked throughout the shift.

• Product Knowledge: Familiarity with various coffee bean varieties, brewing methods, and tea types.
• Multitasking: Ability to balance speed with high-quality beverage preparation during busy shifts.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Physical Stamina: Capability to stand for extended periods and routinely lift supplies (up to 30 lbs).
