Exciting opportunity to join our team at the Hilton Charlotte University Place as the Banquet Manager. The hotel banquet manager plans, coordinates, and directs all catered events, meetings, and social functions to ensure high service standards and guest satisfaction.

• Event Execution: Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) daily to verify setup layouts, guest counts, timelines, and menu requirements.

• Staff Management: Recruit, schedule, train, and supervise banquet captains, servers, bartenders, and setup staff.

• Department Coordination: Partner with culinary teams, sales, housekeeping, and engineering for seamless event transitions.

• Customer Service: Serve as the main point of contact during functions, resolve guest issues, and implement service recovery.

• Financial Oversight: Manage departmental labor budgets, control operating expenses, track inventory (china, silver, linens), and monitor beverage costs.

• Safety & Compliance: Maintain local health, sanitation, safety, and alcohol service regulations.

• Education: High school diploma required; a degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Administration, or Culinary Arts is preferred.

• Experience: 2 to 5 years of progressive food and beverage or event leadership experience in an upscale hotel or resort environment.

• Certifications: ServSafe Food Protection Manager and local responsible alcohol service certifications.

• Key Skills: Strong organizational abilities, budget tracking, team leadership, and familiarity with event management software.
