We are seeking an experienced and driven Banquet Captain to join our team and lead a diverse group of professionals in a fast-paced, multicultural environment. The Banquet Captain at DoubleTree by Hilton Colorado Springs plays a crucial role in overseeing the smooth execution of banquet events and ensuring exceptional guest service. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality.

This position does not have regularly scheduled hours. Working hours are dependent on scheduled events.

• Supervision: Train, schedule, and lead banquet servers and staff, including assigning stations and conducting pre-function meetings.
• Event Execution: Oversee room setup, décor, and food/beverage service to ensure it aligns with the Banquet Event Order (BEO).
• Customer Service: Act as the main contact for clients, greeting them, reviewing agendas, and resolving complaints promptly.
• Operations & Safety: Maintain cleanliness, inspect uniforms, manage inventory, and enforce health and safety regulations.
• Administrative: Prepare post-event reports, manage timekeeping for staff, and handle, as well as handle, inventory.

• Experience: Usually 3-5 years of experience in food service, with previous leadership roles preferred.
• Skills: Strong communication, leadership, multitasking, and interpersonal skills.
• Physical: Ability to stand for long periods and lift or move heavy equipment.
• Education: High school diploma or GED; hospitality degree is a plus.
