Tint World Columbus is looking for a motivated, hands-on individual to join our team as an Automotive Tint / PPF / Wrap Installer Apprentice.

Professional tint, Paint Protection Film (PPF), or vinyl wrap installation experience is not required. We will provide hands-on training to the right candidate. However, this is an automotive position, and candidates should have some automotive knowledge or experience, be comfortable working with their hands, and have strong attention to detail.

This is a full-time opportunity for someone who enjoys working on vehicles and wants to learn specialized skills that can develop into a long-term career in the automotive industry. You will work alongside experienced installers while learning professional window tint, PPF, and vinyl wrap installation techniques.

We are looking for someone who is dependable, takes pride in their work, learns quickly, and wants to develop into a skilled professional installer.

Saturday availability is required.

• Train alongside experienced technicians to learn professional automotive window tint, PPF, and vinyl wrap installation.

• Prepare vehicles for installation, including cleaning, disassembly as trained, surface preparation, and protecting vehicle interiors and exterior surfaces.

• Learn proper film handling, cutting, shrinking, positioning, installation, trimming, finishing, and quality-control techniques.

• Assist experienced installers with vehicle preparation, installations, reassembly, final inspection, and cleanup.

• Carefully work around customer vehicles, including new, luxury, performance, and specialty vehicles.

• Maintain clean and organized installation bays, tools, equipment, materials, and work areas.

• Develop the skills necessary to independently complete installations while meeting our standards for quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

• Some automotive knowledge or experience is required.

• Knowledge of interior and exterior body panel removal and installation is a plus.

• 12V automotive electrical knowledge is a huge plus (ability to read & understand wiring diagrams, find constant 12V, accy, and ignition wires, ability to strip/crimp/soldier wires, etc.)

• Must be mechanically inclined, hands-on, and comfortable working on and around vehicles.

• Strong attention to detail, patience, and ability to perform precise work.

• Dependable, punctual, willing to learn, and able to accept coaching and feedback.

• Previous experience working in a professional automotive shop, dealership, detail shop, body shop, accessory shop, or similar environment is a plus.

• Professional tint, PPF, or vinyl wrap experience is not required. We will train the right candidate.

• Must be available to work Saturdays as part of the regular work schedule.
