In this role, you’ll use your product knowledge to consult on high-performance modifications, draft accurate cost estimates, and coordinate routine maintenance and necessary repairs. Whether a customer needs a standard brake job or a specialized aftermarket upgrade, you'll be the bridge that ensures a top-tier experience. - Greet customers and assess their vehicle service needs.
- Create accurate work orders, including detailed descriptions of customer concerns, required repairs, and recommended upgrades.
- Utilize various resources, including local parts stores, wholesale distributors, online retailers, OEM dealerships, and salvage yards, to locate and procure parts.
- Obtain customer authorization for repairs.
- Communicate effectively with technicians to ensure the timely and accurate completion of work.
- Provide regular updates to customers on the status of their vehicles.
- Explain repairs and maintenance services to customers in a clear and understandable manner.
- Prepare and present repair estimates to customers.
- Process payments and deliver completed vehicles to customers.
- Meet or exceed sales and customer satisfaction goals.
- Draft and review service contract coverage, warranty protections, cost estimates, work orders, and other documents for necessary repairs by service technicians
- Follow up after completed service appointments to ensure customers are satisfied with vehicle repairs
- Proven experience as an Automotive Service Writer (minimum 2 years).
- Strong understanding of automotive systems and repair procedures.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are necessary
- Possess a valid, state-issued driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, and other basic computer programs is necessary
- A high school diploma or GED is required
- Work history should include a service advisor role or other employment-related to automotive technology
Compensation
$50,000 - $90,000 + Commission
