Healthcare Associate Attorney — Texas-REMOTE ONLY
Full-Time W-2 | Primarily Remote | Texas
Starting Base: $90,000 | Increase to $100,000 After 30–60 Day Review | Bonus Opportunities + 20% Origination
We are a growing Texas healthcare law firm seeking an associate attorney who wants to build a long-term career with one firm, produce excellent work, and be part of a collaborative team.
Clients include physicians, nurse practitioners, dentists, behavioral health providers, healthcare businesses, and growing medical practices. We advise them on regulatory compliance, business formation, contracts, MSO structures, acquisitions, licensing matters, disputes, and day-to-day legal issues affecting their businesses.
This is a primarily remote position with meaningful client responsibility, a strong benefits package, and opportunities to increase compensation.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in doing good work, communicates well, follows through, and wants to grow with the firm.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for an attorney who:
Is actively licensed to practice law in Texas
Has at least two years of legal experience
Has experience in healthcare, regulatory, corporate, transactional, administrative, litigation, or a closely related practice area
Has strong legal research and writing skills
Produces accurate, polished, client-ready work
Carefully proofreads before submitting work
Can analyze unfamiliar legal questions and develop a thoughtful proposed approach
Communicates clearly and professionally with clients and colleagues
Can manage deadlines and assignments without constant supervision
Is responsive, organized, dependable, and accountable
Works well with a team
Is comfortable asking questions and discussing strategy
Accepts feedback well and applies it
Wants to build a long-term career with one firm
Quality Matters
We take the quality of our legal work seriously.
Attorneys are expected to review their work carefully before it is submitted internally or sent to a client.
Repeated typographical errors, careless drafting, missed legal issues, incomplete analysis, or work that consistently requires substantial correction do not meet the standards of this position.
We are not looking for someone simply to fill a seat. We are looking for a strong attorney and a dependable team member.
Compensation
Starting base salary is $90,000.
During the first 30–60 days, the firm will evaluate work quality, reliability, judgment, communication, responsiveness, and team fit.
Attorneys who demonstrate that they can consistently meet the standards of the role may increase to a $100,000 base salary during that period.
The firm is selective about long-term fit. If the required level of performance is not demonstrated during the initial review period, the firm may determine that the employment relationship should not continue.
Additional Compensation
Attorneys have opportunities to earn additional compensation through:
Performance-based bonus opportunities
Additional bonus opportunities tied to contribution and client growth
20% origination compensation on collected fees from new clients personally originated by the attorney, subject to firm policy
Attorneys who perform well and contribute to the growth of the firm can earn materially above base salary.
Benefits
The firm provides:
BCBSTX health insurance
Professional liability insurance
Paid CLE expenses
Paid bar dues
Primarily remote work
Bonus opportunities
20% origination compensation
Primarily Remote
Most work may be performed remotely.
Attorneys must reside in Texas and be available for occasional in-person client meetings, hearings, depositions, or other matters throughout the state when necessary.
We value flexibility, but we also value responsiveness and reliability. Attorneys are expected to be available during normal business hours and when genuinely urgent client matters arise.
Full-Time Professional Commitment
This role is intended for an attorney who wants to make the firm their professional home.
The firm invests substantially in its attorneys through salary, health insurance, professional liability coverage, CLE, bar expenses, remote flexibility, bonuses, and origination compensation.
In return, we expect a genuine full-time professional commitment.
Attorneys may not maintain a separate law firm, side legal practice, or competing legal employment while employed with the firm.
If you currently operate your own practice, you must be willing to wind it down before your start date and appropriately transition existing matters.
We want someone who wants to grow their practice, client relationships, skills, and compensation as part of our team.
