Join us at South Texas Family Law Group, where we're not just practicing law; we're transforming lives. As an Associate Attorney specializing in family law, you'll be at the forefront of critical cases involving divorce, custody, support, and more. We're seeking a passionate, bilingual attorney ready to dive into meaningful litigation work. You'll handle a diverse caseload and argue in court, supported by a dedicated team committed to your growth and success. We offer a competitive salary with performance incentives, recognizing your achievements in helping families navigate complex legal challenges.

We value integrity, service, and a faith-driven approach, providing a supportive environment that respects and empowers everyone. With us, you'll enjoy comprehensive benefits, including firm-paid bar dues, malpractice insurance, and CLE, as well as two weeks of paid time off to start, 11 company-paid holidays, and a retirement plan with employer-matched contributions after three years. Let's make a real difference together while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. If you're ready to bring your courtroom skills and heart for family law to our team, we'd love to hear from you.

  • Represent clients in family law cases, including divorce, custody, and support, ensuring their rights and interests are protected.
  • Prepare and file legal documents, such as pleadings and motions, with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and provide informed advice to clients.
  • Negotiate settlements with opposing parties to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Advocate for clients in court, presenting evidence and arguments clearly and persuasively.
  • Collaborate with our legal team to develop case strategies and share insights for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain open and empathetic communication with clients, keeping them informed and involved in their cases at every step of the process.
  • Licensed to practice law in Texas — and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.

  • Demonstrated litigation experience — this means real courtroom time: jury trials, bench trials, contested hearings, law school mock trial, or comparable advocacy experience. If you have never stood up and argued in front of anyone, this role is not the right fit yet.

  • Texas family law experience with billable-hour practice — you have worked family law matters and understand what it means to bill hourly and track your time professionally.

  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (Preferred) — you are fully comfortable advising clients, conducting consultations, and appearing in hearings in both languages.

  • Team player and culture fit — we are a tight-knit team built on trust, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to doing right by the clients we serve. Lone wolves and credit-seekers will not thrive here.

  • A genuine passion for family law — and for helping families navigate some of the hardest moments of their lives.

Compensation

$95,000 - $123,500 yearly
