The Assistant Housekeeping Manager supports the Executive Housekeeper in directing daily operations, inspecting guest rooms and public spaces for quality, managing supply inventory, and training staff. They ensure the facility meets strict sanitation codes and coordinate with the front desk and maintenance teams to drive exceptional guest satisfaction.

• Team Supervision: Lead, train, and mentor room attendants, house persons, and laundry staff. Coordinate daily shift assignments, manage scheduling, and handle performance feedback.
• Quality Inspections: Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure compliance with the highest brand and cleanliness standards.
• Operations & Budget: Assist with controlling departmental expenses, maintaining supply inventory, and overseeing deep cleaning programs.
• Guest Services: Address guest complaints or requests promptly, ensuring high levels of satisfaction. Oversee lost and found procedures.
• Cross-Departmental Communication: Work closely with the Front Office and Maintenance departments to manage room turnarounds and report maintenance issues.

• Education: High school diploma or GED is usually required; a 2-year degree in Hospitality Management or Business Administration is highly preferred.
• Experience: Typically requires 1 to 3+ years of progressive supervisory experience in housekeeping or a related hospitality/environmental services role.
• Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills. Must possess basic computer proficiency (word processing, spreadsheets) and a strong working knowledge of OSHA/health and safety regulations.
• Physical Demands: Requires the physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, kneel, and frequently lift up to 30–35 lbs.
