The hotel assistant chief engineer helps lead the maintenance team. They manage daily repairs, safety checks, and equipment upkeep. They also take charge when the chief engineer is away.

• Staff Leadership: Supervise engineering workers, assign daily tasks, and help train team members.

• System Maintenance: Check and fix HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and pool systems.

• Preventive Care: Run scheduled checks on guest rooms, laundry gear, and kitchen tools.

• Safety & Compliance: Test fire alarms, emergency generators, and life safety features.

• Guest Service: Fix reported room issues quickly to keep guests happy.

• Experience: 2 to 5 years of hands-on maintenance work, preferably in a hotel or large resort.

• Skills: Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical work, and heating/cooling systems.

• Education: High school diploma, GED, or trade school certification in a related technical field.

• Physical Needs: Ability to lift heavy items, stand for long hours, and work flexible shifts, including weekends or holidays.
