Our thriving hotel is looking for a dedicated banquet manager who is passionate about giving our customers an amazing banquet event experience. You will guarantee that each guest receives world-class service by working directly with them to book banquet space and present options that match their needs and budgets. We also require someone with exceptional leadership abilities to supervise the banquet crew and maintain the best quality of hotel services. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter with 3+ years of hospitality experience, preferably in management, and a strong commitment to client satisfaction. - Event Oversight: Supervise room setups, food service, and clean-up.
- Staff Leadership: Train, schedule, and direct banquet servers and captains.
- Team Communication: Work with the kitchen and sales teams to match event orders.
- Guest Relations: Greet hosts, check on service quality, and fix complaints.
- Inventory Control: Order supplies, track china and silver, and manage liquor stock.
- Relay all event orders to on-site banquet staff members so they are made aware of their duties and responsibilities
- Develop policies, procedures, quality standards, and cost-saving measures within the department to continuously improve the customer-focused banquet area
- Record the outcomes of each event to evaluate and improve future events and procedures
- Coordinate the daily operations of the banquet area and ensure you are providing an exceptional level of service by purchasing supplies, managing event space set-up, and setting proper staffing levels for events
- Engage with customers to go through banquet event options that suit their budget and go over any changes, questions, or concerns to ensure a quality product is provided
- Experience: High school diploma plus two years in food service or event management.
- Leadership: Past supervisory experience in a hotel or catering setting.
- Physical Needs: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Skills: Good communication, basic computer use, and time management.
Compensation
$65,000 - $67,000 yearly
