Job Description: Architect

Location: Las Vegas, NV

Job Summary

The Architect will be responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of buildings and other structures. They will work closely with clients to understand their needs and develop plans that meet their requirements. The Architect will also be responsible for ensuring that all construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Developing design plans and specifications for buildings and other structures
Working closely with clients to understand their needs and requirements
Overseeing the construction process to ensure that all work is completed to the highest quality standards
Managing project budgets and timelines
Collaborating with other professionals, such as engineers and contractors, to ensure that all aspects of a project are completed successfully
Ensuring that all construction projects comply with local building codes and regulations
Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in architecture

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture
Professional license to practice architecture in the state of Nevada
Minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural design and construction
Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other architectural software

Responsibilities

Furnish design proposals, building design blueprints, and construction documents containing specifications for building materials and products
Create drawings and renderings and make adjustments to designs based on feedback
Convey design intent specifications clearly and ensure quality control through site visits with construction professionals
Consolidate consultant drawings (HVAC, landscape architect, civil engineers, etc) into design plans
Ensure the end product meets the client’s quality and budget expectations by consulting with project managers and clients throughout the project

Qualifications

Extensive experience with computer-aided design/CAD / design software: AutoCad, and Sketch-Up, Photoshop, and Revit and BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology
Firm understanding of the construction process, and state and national safety requirements and building codes (IEBC, IBC, IRC, etc.) is vital
Fluent in computer-aided design/CAD / design software: Photoshop, Revit, AutoCad, and Sketch-Up and BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology
Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Architecture from a National Architectural Accrediting Board approved program is required
Meet licensing requirements through NCARB architects registration board and be a licensed architect through the State Board of Architecture
