Advanced Practice Provider - Nurse Practitioner - Physician Assistant (Minnesota)

The oversight of pain management and responsible opioid prescribing is an essential clinical practice. The vision of Rehabilitation Medicine Associates is to inspire positive change in skilled nursing facilities and empower them to provide the best possible pain management outcomes for patients. We provide onsite pain management care, collaborating alongside primary care providers to prevent functional decline, decrease pain, and reduce hospital admissions.

Rehabilitation Medicine Associates is currently seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant) who is passionate about improving patient quality of life through pain management. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing quality care to patients in skilled nursing facilities and assisted living facilities.

At RMA, we pride ourselves on managing acute and chronic pain onsite in skilled nursing facilities throughout Minneapolis, St. Paul, and the greater Twin Cities metropolitan area. Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) will provide specialized care to patients who suffer from various pain conditions, such as musculoskeletal, neuropathic, or central pain. A critical role of the APP is to assess the risk of opioid-related problems and implement strategies to prevent or address them, including urine drug screening, risk assessment tools, prescription drug monitoring databases, and patient education.

APPs coordinate care with other providers such as primary care physicians and APPs, nurses, therapists, and palliative care teams to ensure a patient-centered approach. Having pain management services onsite minimizes the need for families and staff to arrange and pay for transportation to and from outside pain management facilities.

Pay Range: $100,000 - $150,000 annually. The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to your experience and education.
