Assistant to the Executive Director & Office Coordinator (Part-Time)
Organization: Brevard Cultural Alliance
Employment Type: Part-Time (24 hours/week)
Schedule: Tuesday–Thursday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (set schedule)
Compensation: $20 per hour
Location: In person at the BCA office (this is not a remote or hybrid position)
Brevard Cultural Alliance (BCA) is the designated local arts agency for Brevard County, dedicated to strengthening, supporting, and championing arts and culture throughout the community.
We are seeking a highly organized, proactive professional who enjoys a variety of responsibilities and is passionate about supporting the arts in Brevard County.
The Assistant to the Executive Director & Office Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the Executive Director while helping coordinate communications, events, office operations, and organizational initiatives. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys problem-solving, is technologically savvy, and is comfortable balancing administrative responsibilities with occasional hands-on support for public art projects.
At Brevard Cultural Alliance, you'll play an important role in supporting the Executive Director and the daily operations of the organization while contributing to meaningful programs that enrich our community. You'll collaborate with artists, community leaders, and fellow team members, help bring creative projects and events to life, and make a direct impact on arts and culture across Brevard County.

Responsibilities
Essential Responsibilities
- Manage the Executive Director's Microsoft Outlook calendar, schedule meetings, and coordinate community appointments and events.
- Provide administrative support by preparing, organizing, uploading, and filing correspondence and organizational documents.
- Maintain organizational records, databases, and electronic filing systems.
- Update the organization's website calendar and assist with social media content in collaboration with the team.
- Support special events, artist receptions, meetings, and community programs.
- Provide occasional assistance with transporting, installing, and hanging artwork for Art in Public Places projects.
- Conduct research to identify grants, funding opportunities, and program initiatives.
- Assist with grant preparation, reporting, and data collection as needed.
- Communicate professionally with artists, community partners, board members, and the public.
- Perform additional administrative and operational duties as assigned to support the organization's mission.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent organizational, coordination, and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, and calendar management.
- Experience with website content management systems, Constant Contact, or Neon One is preferred.
- Experience managing or scheduling social media content is preferred.
- Experience with grants or grant writing is a plus.
- Ability to conduct research and compile information independently.
- Genuine interest in nonprofit administration, arts, and community engagement.
- Ability to work independently while effectively managing multiple priorities.
- Ability to occasionally lift and move artwork for exhibitions and events.
Compensation
$20 - $20/hour
