We’re looking for an experienced Accounting Supervisor to lead, coach, and support a team of accounting professionals while ensuring consistently accurate, timely, client-ready work.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead & Develop Your Team: Lead a team of accounting professionals through clear expectations, thoughtful prioritization, regular coaching, and constructive feedback. Identify development needs, address performance issues directly, and help each team member continue to grow.

• Review Work & Own Quality: Review financial statements, reconciliations, and month-end work for accuracy, completeness, and consistency with firm standards. You’ll be accountable for the quality and timeliness of your team’s work and for catching issues before they reach the client.

• Set Priorities & Keep Work Moving: Maintain visibility into your team’s workload, deadlines, and open issues. Set and adjust priorities, remove roadblocks, and follow through to ensure commitments are met.

• Own Client Escalations & Relationships: Step in when clients need additional support or issues require greater experience and judgment. Communicate clearly and confidently, resolve problems, and help build strong, long-term client relationships.

• Provide & Coach Client Advisory: Provide direct financial guidance to clients while developing your team’s ability to recognize trends, explain financial information, and provide increasingly valuable insight to their own clients.

• Lead Firm Initiatives Within Your Team: Help translate firm goals, procedures, and changes into action. Provide thoughtful input during decision-making, then take ownership of implementation and help your team understand and successfully adopt changes.

• Improve Processes & Systems: Look for ways to make our work more accurate, efficient, and scalable. Collaborate with leadership and the accounting team to improve workflows, procedures, and the technology we use to serve clients.

Requirements:

• 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years of direct supervisory experience leading and reviewing the work of accounting professionals.

• Demonstrated experience in a CPA firm, CAS firm, outsourced accounting firm, or other multi-client accounting environment.

• Strong experience reviewing financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end close work.

• Expert-level knowledge of QuickBooks Online; QBO certification preferred.

• Strong proficiency in Google Sheets and/or Excel.

• Demonstrated ability to manage team performance, set priorities, provide constructive feedback, and handle difficult conversations professionally.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with both clients and accounting professionals.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a business-related field preferred.

• Experience with law firm accounting and trust accounting reconciliations.

• Experience providing financial analysis or advisory services to small-business owners.

• Familiarity with Google Workspace, RightTool, Financial Cents, Xenett, LiveFlow, Clio, MyCase, and LawPay.

• Experience interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and developing accounting professionals.
