Academic Coach (1-on-1 tutoring, hourly)
JOB SUMMARY
Denver Test Prep (www.denvertestprep.com) is hiring part-time Academic Coaches to work 1-on-1 with students in grades 6-12. Academic Coaches help students build the executive functioning skills, study habits, and confidence they need to succeed in school. Many of our coaching students find school difficult, and some are neurodiverse, so we're looking for coaches who bring patience, care, and a strengths-based approach to every session.
Coaches meet students in person at homes, offices, libraries, etc., in the Denver/Boulder area. Tutors and coaches at DTP are valued professionals and are given autonomy to personalize their instruction while being supported by proven training and a strong team culture.
DTP Academic Coaches should be available three to four days a week, with a minimum of 5 hours per week. Most sessions take place after school, in the afternoons and evenings.
COMPENSATION
Tutors are paid $50/hr for coaching/tutoring and $20/hr for their drive time.
TO APPLY:
Please submit your resume and complete our pre-interview quiz to tell us more about your experience and availability. We’ll accept applications through Monday, 11/30, and will interview candidates on a rolling basis.
We welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds and experiences. If you’re excited about this role but don’t meet every qualification listed, we’d still love to hear from you.
